Defect rectification memang slow. Aku dah hanget, terus bangun awal2 pagi buta menaip surat complain kat CEO, COO dgn Management team diorang. Alhamdulillah ada significant response dari pihak diorang dan mula la mereka cipta cerita. Aku memang takkan recommend korang beli dengan Uda Land sebab quality wise memang teruk. Finishing was done poorly, workmanship performed mcm orang yang tak professional langsung. To add more misery to our case, Manager diorang pon sangat tak professional nk attend complaint.

Ni gambar masa kami datang dengan representative dari developer office as well as diorang punya contractor. Katanya, contractor ni akan ambik alih dari contraactor lama sebab yang lama tak perform. Semua ni alasan ajer, aku tak percaya langsung. Oversight dgn monitoring tak dibuat oleh management, memang takkan jalan kerja tu. Abg ipar aku yang banyak bagi diorang headache. Hahaha..

Tips : Once dah lodge complaint, please follow through complain korang anf\d make sure diorang adhered to the timeline. Kalau tak, submit official complaint and ugut nk rectify sendiri as per term and condicition dalam Sale and Purchase agreement.

Kitchen Cabinet (selection of Tile)

Initial plan kitorang nk beli tile di Houz Depot, memang matching habis. Ni ada few sample yang ku snap. Ikut survey yang aku buat, Houz Depot memang carry branded tiles jugak at lower then market kalau ada Sale. But unfortunately disebabkan budget constraint terpaksa kami mengubah selera ke tempat lain.

Tile untuk kitchen kami, kitorang beli di area Kajang, sekitar Jalan Reko with a remarkable mark down price. Kitorang dapat harga yang agak murah untuk ni. Aku rasa berbaloi gi sana beli. Buleh berjam2 pilih tile kt kedai nie sebab everything under 1 roof. Most of the kedai tiles we have visited akan jual murah kalau ada stock, kalau xde stock price akan mahal sebab diorng kena reorder. Korang nk yang China made, India made, Indon made atau Malaysian made, semua ada. Try to negotiate untuk dapatkan harga murah sket, kalau nk beli bnyak diorg ada provide delivery service with a minimum fees, kalau tak salah aku RM30 kot. Sila retained receipt in case kalau nk tambah lagi tile with special price buleh tunjuk receipt lama, then diorg akan bagi price yang sama.
Tip : kalau nk survey tu, better tanya stock level position sekali.

Budgeting untuk Renovation

As for the time being, korang dah buleh start survey quotation untuk renovation. Before anything, please plan, prioritise, discuss with family/wife on your concept, and the most important is your budget. Suggestion aku, korang list out and brain storm whatever idea yang pop out untuk korang nk buat untuk rumah tu dari toilet ke car porch. Anyway, our concept is Modern and Contemporary coz aku suka simple dan tak heavy sgt and my wife concurred so proceed with this concept. Below are some of the sketches on our budgeting for our new house. Rough estimation is around RM 50k which include electrical appliances and some of the furniture and fitting. 

Budgeting aku ni ikut rough estimation based on survey aku tgk di lowyat.net, personel bloggers and few contractors. Then after that, korang consult dgn interior designer and contractor korang to come out untuk ideas and costing. This is judgemental, my advised is to engage with professional contractors/interior designer because they can drill down to those tiny details and particulars items and practicality of area renovation tu. Layout rumah aku yang agak challenging ni memang menyusahkan bila nk come out dengan design. Tapi alhamdulillah, berkat kepakaran designer kami, berjaya jugak. Nanti aku tunjuk few magic yang contractor aku buat untuk settlekan beberapa masalah semasa construction/renovation dulu.
